Chequamegon Clumber Spaniels started with Kelson N Cameo's Watson & Woodsman Willow CW. Watson and Willow had a litter together in 2002, the first Chequamegon litter. From that first litter Emma & Moose went on to finish their Championships: Emma, CH Woodsman Emma Peel JH SH CD TD was a multiple group placing Clumber Spaniel and Moose, CH Chequamegon Moose. The second litter of Willow's produced Timber, BISS CH Chequamegon Ridge Runner & Alpine, CH Chequamegon Alpine Storm.
Mitch has been hunting his Clumber Spaniels since 2000 with Willow, then Athena (Emma's daughter), and now with Athena's kids, Annie & Gus. It wasn't until Athena that Mitch bit the AKC Hunt Test bug, and has been hunt testing Clumbers since. Athena & Annie are both AKC Senior Hunters & Gus is an AKC Junior Hunter. Athena has Master Passes but at 10 years of age is retired from the hunt tests.
In addition to AKC hunt tests Mitch also tournament hunts with the Clumbers within Wisconsin.
Chequamegon Clumbers are not only wonderful hunting dogs and great show dogs, but they are FANTASTIC companions as well.
